Hello all! I would firstly like to wish you all a truly peaceful, hopeful and healthy New Year.
During 2006, nothing could have prepared me for how far I have come as a medium both professionally and spiritually.  The sanctuary has proven to be a resounding success with fully booked events and the discovery of some very special ability amongst the people who attend. 
I have learned so much from spirit this year, mainly the sole reason for why people see me for sittings.  There is always a core reason for them attending which amazes me every time. 

A truly brave and special woman came to visit me a while ago, I started the connection and blended with a few family members, but then many friends of the sitter came through, they all identified themselves exceptionally well and all had passed with cancer.  I kept thinking, 'why have all these friends come and not the family?'  They continued to tell the lady how well they were and that it was ok after they had passed with their cancers and that there is life after this disease.  I thought that I was making it up all of these friends coming and all passing with cancer!
About half way through I stopped and looked into the eyes of my lady.  It then hit me like a bolt of lightening.  This brave lady had terminal cancer.  She confirmed this as I said it and now I know why all her friends from the cancer unit had come through.  They wanted her to know it was ok, that they were with her and that she would be with them when she passed over to spirit.  That's all this lady wanted to know.
I have to say I felt truly humbled being in her presence.  I am so glad that her friends  had come through for her.  I also learned during that reading never to question who should and shouldn't come through.  All people come, or don't come through for a reason. She left the sitting comforted and strong saying that she now knew that it would be ok.  I felt extremely emotional and glad that I work as honestly and accurately as I can.

The responsibility a medium has to their sitters is of the utmost importance.
Keeping the communication honest and accurate is absolutely vital.  Which leads me to talk about not so great mediums.  Sore subject but there are bad in all professions.  All the time I am learning from spirit.  A running theme sometimes takes place to teach me something in particular.  For two weeks I had people attending that had had readings off of either inexperienced or deceitful mediums.  Shocking stories.  I wondered how awful it would have been for the lady with cancer to go to someone who didn't know what they were doing when her reason for coming to a medium was so important.
I want to say PLEASE go to a recommended or reputable medium.  Do not visit a medium if you are in a very raw grieving state, avoid psychic fair 15 minute connections if you are vulnerable and do not listen to ANY of the message if most of it is completely wrong.  Do not pick out one bit that means something to you if the rest is rubbish.  For example "nothing was right apart from the fact that my nan said that she was really angry with me."

This reading is a true example of how supposed mediums can ruin somebody's life.  I thank the sitters for allowing me to quote this communication. 
A man came to me completely devastated as he had been for a reading at a psychic fair and the medium had told him that it was he and his mother's fault that his relative had killed herself.  The medium went onto say that the girl had been crying out to them but they never noticed how depressed she was and did nothing to stop her from killing herself.  The medium also stated that the girl would not have killed herself if this man or her mum had helped her.
I was gobsmacked.  The man was mortified and was wracked with guilt and pain and had not slept since the reading.
I asked if the rest of the information that the medium had given him was accurate, he stated that some of the things were right but general and that they could have applied to anyone.  Despite this he was convinced that his relative could have been saved.

I stated that I couldn't guarantee any connection with anyone in spirit but would try and help him.  The reading began, after a brief connection with other spirit family members, a girl came forward describing herself and her name.
She then described her house both inside and out.  She stated how many children she had, their descriptions and relevant dates and times.  She identified herself as the relative who had taken herself over and even mentioned the name of the medium who had told her loved one the wrong information!
It was safe to say it was her!
She then went on to describe her history of depression and how she had tried to take herself over before.  She showed me where she took herself over, how she did it what time and where she had left her note.  She had planned the day so she was alone. She played out loud music on the stereo and TV so the police would eventually be called by neighbours and would find her before her family did, she named all of her family members and also stated the only thing that she was angry about was the police not letting the family see her final note.
She gave evidence of what was happening now, including her mirror being put up in one of her children's bedrooms the day before and a conversation that her mum had had with her son about getting her hair dyed the day before.
She gave lots more evidence to convince her loved one that it was her.  She then categorically stated that she had planned to take herself over, that she was truly sorry that people missed her and that there was no way anyone would have stopped her or saved her, she wanted to go.  The reading continued with other private things being mentioned.
That man walked away, thank goodness, relieved and at peace with himself.
Not all evidence can be gleaned that clear and precise from the spirit communicator but if you generally ask them questions they answer them.
If I ask their name, they can say it, spell it out or highlight letters of the alphabet.
Spirit should be respected and honoured. Every medium should work from the heart and soul with integrity, truth, empathy and honesty.

A little while ago I asked for spirit to manifest their forms stronger for me, I have learnt that if you ask and you're ready, you get!

Back in the summer I was preparing myself for my next sitter.  I always ask my lot to show me what my sitter will look like and to start to introduce my next spirit person while I'm waiting.  I recall sitting there when I heard a muffled bang at my reading room door.  I looked at the glass panelled door and saw a young girl with fair hair wearing a lilac checked school dress.  She was cupping her hands around her eyes, pushing her face against the glass and looking in smiling.  I assumed that she was the daughter of the next sitter and gestured for her to come in.  She just stared at me and then completely vanished.  I was shocked to realise that she was a spirit person as I hardly ever see solid spirit people. In my mind I then heard her name and saw her in a park.
When the sitter arrived I asked her if she recognised this young girl.  She became very emotional as the girl was her best friend at school.  She had been with her when they were doing hand stands after school one day at the park, (wearing the lilac uniforms).  One of her friend's arms had weakened and she landed on her head and unfortunately suffered a fatal head injury.  She had just popped in to say hello.  This was even more exciting as the sitter had only been thinking about her a couple of days ago.

Most recently, I was talking with a spirit man, we will call him Jack for confidential purposes.  As I was talking with Jack and relaying his messages to his loved one I asked him to draw closer so I could see him clearer in my mind's eye.  He didn't just do that he manifested his outline in the room so I could see him in the physical clearly.  The first thing I noticed was his shiny bald head which I mentioned straight away as he presented himself! The sitter was quite astonished! As was I, following laughter.
Most people who come for readings now in the sanctuary nearly always experience physical phenomena during their reading.  It ranges from independent direct speech to footsteps, rapping, banging and the lights flicking like a disco show!  I have always requested physical phenomena from spirit. I believe in ultimate proof from spirit both in showing themselves as well as providing me with undeniable evidence when passing on their messages.

Moving on there are new workshops now available at the sanctuary.  Also look out for the paranormal investigation nights that are going to be arranged.  You will be carrying out an investigation at a local venue following some warm up physical mediumship at the sanctuary. There is already a list for these evenings so book early.  Look out for the ad on the website.

Also EPIC - the Enigma Paranormal Investigation Crew has been formed.  On our first investigation we bagged a brilliant photo of a hooded spirit person and our camcorder switched itself on after we left the room and recorded a spirit person wondering around clinking glasses and then marching on gravel, interesting as we were on a barge!
Our second investigation in the Royal Court Theatre in Bacup nr Manchester proved amazing where we interacted with a spirit child who replied with massive flashing light phenomena.  A new page detailing the adventures of EPIC will be made available on the website where our investigation at the theatre will be explained with more detail.
Another addition will also be the "Conversations with Spirit" page, where full transcripts of connections will be shown to see how much evidence spirit can bring to their loved ones.
Also I have a lot more evenings demonstrating mediumship around the county and country so look out for demos in your area, these will be ticketed events.  All events will be advertised on the website.

Well lots of things afoot for the New Year but I'm sure I have said enough already.  I would like to thank everyone for their ever loving support and am thrilled to be sharing my new year with so many new friends as well as my ever patient spirit loved ones.
